Business Manager – Trading (Marine)

Job Summary:
A strategic sales role driving business growth through new client acquisition, account management, and market expansion across regional and international sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Drive business development through a balanced focus on new client acquisition and existing account management.
- Develop and execute business plans to expand client product lines in domestic and international markets.
- Achieve assigned sales targets while maximising profit margins.
- Prepare sales forecasts, monthly and annual sales plans, and customer proposals.
- Ensure full compliance with ISO management system requirements within the department.
- Support organisational and sales team growth through structured coaching and training initiatives.
- Conduct sales visits and develop new customers to increase market share in marine, offshore, power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, and industrial sectors.
- Formulate and implement strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives and performance targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM manufacturers, principals, and suppliers for engines and machinery.
- Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and technological developments to identify business opportunities and stay current with product advancements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience handling engine spare parts within the marine, offshore, or oil & gas industries.
- Strong continuous improvement mindset with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated sales and marketing capabilities.
- Willingness to travel overseas when required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong team player with integrity, positive attitude, and effective organisational and time management skills.
