Tender Quantity Surveyor (1-Year Renewable Contract)

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage tender submissions, including cost plans, cost reports, and tender evaluations.
  • Handle tender, pre-contract, and post-contract administration duties.
  • Prepare tender clarifications, liaise with consultants, and attend site visits, tender briefings, and meetings.
  • Review and evaluate tender drawings to identify discrepancies and technical issues.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities.
  • Source, evaluate, and select suitable subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Assess and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations in accordance with tender requirements.
  • Prepare timely cost estimates, technical data, and unit rates.
  • Ensure all tender documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted within required timelines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in an M&E construction company, with hands-on exposure to tender procedures; experience with a main contractor is an added advantage.
  • Diploma qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and/or several years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin language for liaising with Mandarin-speaking subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented, and organised in handling cost and tender documentation.
  • Willingness to work 5.5 days per week.
  • Ability to commence work at short notice is an added advantage.
