Trade Finance Assistant/Officer

Responsibilities:
- Collate, review, and submit trade finance documents to banks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate with business units to ensure smooth presentation and processing of trade documentation.
- Act as the primary liaison between banks and internal stakeholders to address queries and compliance matters.
- Handle import and export trade documentation, including issuance of import Letters of Credit and settlement of import bills.
- Prepare payments for LC advising charges and perform related administrative tasks such as data entry and filing.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet audit and regulatory requirements.
- Analyse trade flow processes and internal payment systems, providing feedback for process improvements.
- Resolve documentation discrepancies in collaboration with banks and business units.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of trade finance principles and practices, including Letters of Credit, UCP 600, and Incoterms.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in banking or finance-related roles.
- Experience in handling import and export documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to support daily operational tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with banks and internal stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
