Sales Engineer / Commercial Executive (Civil Engineering)

Job Summary:
An opportunity for a sales engineering professional to drive tendering, client engagement, and project delivery across construction and engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise and maintain effective communication with contractors, clients, consultants, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify and evaluate tender opportunities in public and private sectors.
  • Lead or coordinate preparation of proposals, quotations, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and tender documents within required timelines.
  • Attend to sales enquiries and build strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Conduct technical presentations and propose engineered, cost-effective solutions based on client requirements.
  • Perform commercial negotiations covering pricing, contract terms, and project scope for new and ongoing projects.
  • Coordinate with Technical, Engineering, and Operations teams to develop suitable project strategies and solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to ensure adequate resources and effective project execution.
  • Manage awarded projects with emphasis on commercial and contractual matters.
  • Monitor project progress from inception to completion to ensure delivery within timeline, budget, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the key liaison among internal departments, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients for smooth project delivery.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, tender status updates, and project progress reports to management.
  • Support business development initiatives and identify market opportunities to expand the client base.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Built Environment, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in sales engineering, tendering, or project management, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
